Getting ready is hard to do...
Oct. 4th, 2001 09:25 pmActually, it's the lethargy that's getting to me.
The last time I drove to Houston, I ended up hitting the road around 11 am down at the intersection of 160 and 84, on the other side of town.
The postal audit is tomorrow morning at 8 am, and should take about an hour. I need to get there early enough to do the report for yesterday, so we know what number we're trying to hit. The whole process ought to end up pretty close to the mark.
Afterward, around 9, I think I will do the same rounds as last time, paying off the phone and electric bills before leaving town. I may skip brunch at the Junction Restaurant, though, as it took almost forever to get served last time. On the other hand, it is always good to hit the road with full stomach, especially considering I don't plan to eat much on the way.
If all goes well, I shall spend the night near Tye and arrive in Houston on Saturday afternoon.
But I am getting way ahead of myself. I still have to pack my stuff.
It's going to be an interesting couple of weeks.
Cheers...
