I downloaded and tried out something called ClipMate and was very impressed with the program's capabilities. The application is a "clipboard manager" that basically maintains a database of the stuff you've put on your Windows clipboard and let's you do a lot of different things with it. What it does not do, unfortunately, is handle Unicode in any kind of rational manner, and since a good chunk of the stuff I do online involves non-ANSI character sets, I uninstalled the program.

I hadn't really planned to do a lot of work today, but having about 20,000 words drop onto my plate this past Friday afternoon sort of lit a fire under my desk. I've gotten through most of the stuff I need to get out of the way before tackling the big job, and hopefully, things'll stay quiet for a day or two to let me take care of it.

Cheers...

If you haven't already, check out ClipCache (http://www.xrayz.co.uk/clipcache/). I like it well enough to buy the Plus version. However, I have no idea how it handles Unicode.

Wow. For some reason, looking at my notes, it would appear ClipCache didn't even show up on my radar. And according to the site, it's got "international support" (i.e., it handles Unicode).

I'll have to check it out! Thanks.
