Wow... where does the time go?

I look at the calendar for this month and notice that I've missed four days of posting.
That's, like, unbelievable!
Back in 2000, when I fist signed up with LJ, I posted for three days straight, then skipped a day, then another day, and then posted sporadically, waiting for as long as four days before the spirit moved me. It took me roughly a month to figure out that making sure the stars were properly aligned, etc. before I started writing a post—any post—was a sure way to eventually never post at all, so beginning July 30, I made it a point to post at least once per day. The practice became a habit, and I didn't miss a day the rest of that year.
I won't bore you with the details of my posting patterns during the intervening years. There may have been a year during which I didn't miss a single day, but even if that was the case, it sort of falls into the same category—at least for me—as the prize that some schools give out for kids who never miss a day of class. A harmless curiosity at best, an certainly not a measure of any particular achievement.
Still, four days!
I blame all the extra time I'm spending with Galina, even if much of that is spent watching The Tube.
Cheers...
