What I did on my Day Off...
Mar. 11th, 2001 04:10 pmI rented a truck last night...the local U-Haul didn't have any more of the $19.95 specials, so I ended up with a $29.95 vehicle. That probably was all to the good, as Lee and I were able to empty the garage in one swell foop. From the house, we proceeded to our storage space, where we deposited most of the garage stuff, and then home, where we unloaded the remainder.
Heck of a way to spend a day, I know, but what can one say? It's a little after 4 pm as I write this, and high time for me to go to sleep with an 11 pm wakeup in mind. Tonight's shift, which is the last duty I'll pull for this trip, will be done by 10 am, after which I'll have to check to make sure I have a seat on Tuesday's plane, and then go home and pack.
There's also the matter of taking care of a number of punch-list items for the new renter. Emptying the garage was probably the big item on the list, though. Then there are a number of smaller items, according to Galina.
No time to think...just finish this post and go to sleep.
Cheers...
