Wardrobe selection... done.

Ironing... done.

Packing... done.

It occurs to me, as I put one of those plastic electrical ties on the zipper hardware of the roll-on to act as a lock, that the only "sharp edge" (nail clipper) I have is inside the roll-on, so I'm going to have to ask for a pair of scissors or something at the hotel's check-in counter, I guess.

Good thing I confirmed my reservation at the hotel. In the "drive to Atlanta" plan, I'd be checking in on Wednesday night after having met up with Jim W. in Ellijay on Wednesday morning. Now that I'm flying, I'll meet up with him at the hotel on Wednesday morning. The Hyatt has no rooms available, so I went to hotwire.com to try their version of a deluxe room at a "steep discount" ($40 plus taxes and fees, for a total of $55 or so), for just one night. I forget what they gave me, but I'm sure I'll write about it when I get there.

It's nearly 7 am. I have to "turn to." Once at the store, I need to make business cards and run off some copies of my CV. I traditionally do my CV on some kind of colored paper (the better to find mine from a pile of similar documents).

Side note: Yesterday was the first day this snow season that the sun went down leaving unmelted snow on the ground. It's in patches and icy, but it's white and it's still there. The morning is brightening slowly as the sun tries to burn through some pervasive fog.

Next rock will be thrown from Hot-lanta.

Cheers...
