Thanksgiving Day
Nov. 28th, 2002 08:07 pmGalina and Lee pulled in this morning around 3:30 am. I was thoroughly awakened in the process (I'd fallen asleep around 1 am), but managed to get back to sleep and remained unconscious until about 8.
The ladies remained asleep, so I entertained myself with Robert B. Parker's Judas Goat for a while, expecting Drew to drop Huntur by around 9. I managed to finish the book before he came by at almost 11. I should probably have sat down to finish the translation.
Once Huntur was here, she became the center of attention until we all piled into a car to go over to Drew and Shannon's for Thanksgiving dinner.
Compared to some repasts, and purely on a caloric level, their offering was... not the most impressive I've seen. But then again, impressive feasts are not really what the holiday is all about. We had each other, and enough to eat, and good fellowship with friends.
What else, really, can you ask for?
This has definitely been one of the better Thanksgivings we've celebrated.
Cheers...
