Just peachy, thanks.
Oct. 20th, 2003 08:11 amThings are going, well... the expression 'snafu' pretty much was coined for the way things are going.
The good news is that I got to work on time and in one piece. The walk from the main gate to the MCC was actually pleasant, as the night is cool. I was moderately surprised, however, by the traffic coming into the center at that time of the morning.
Then, once I got to my work place, it turns out I had forgotten my JSC password.
Then my client e-mail login turns out not to work.
And I directed my first words (English, going into Russian) out the wrong channel (to the English speakers instead of the Russian side).
Hopefully, these will be all the glitches I experience for a while.
A little while ago, I managed to send off the weekend's translations using NetZero, which took about forever, seeing as the connection is of the dialup kind.
In any event, I have a phone call in requesting a reset on my JSC password, and another phone call in regarding my client e-mail. Once I am up with those systems, I'll have a fighting chance of getting through the certification process.
After picking up my rental last night, I took Natalie to the tapioca tea place (I wonder if I'm becoming addicted?), where we met Viet. I left her there, as he's giving her a ride to work... about now (or a few minutes ago). I got to bed soon after returning home, and had my usual miserable gotta-get-up-early night's sleep.
I need to get back to work.
Cheers...
