Paying dues to the silicon gang...

I've spent most of the time after the store trying to repair my desktop's setup, and the issue remains in doubt.

There's been no time to do anything along the lines of actually think about things, which is something I've been planning to do, sneaking it in between translations and the store.

Today marks the completion of one week eating the Atkins way. Over the past few mornings, when I step on the bathroom scale, the needle settles just barely perceptably short of where it was the day before, which is the whole point of the exercise (not too fast, not too slow). The diet is not a piece of cake, so to speak. I'm noticing more and more how much I miss the carbs, not so much as a source of a quick glucose high as simply an expression of a varied menu (i.e., it'd be nice to have a sandwich with bread, instead of just what goes inside it).

I gave Drew the day off after he finished sorting the day's mail. This left me in the store for the last three hours of the day (noon to three, on Saturdays). While there were hectic moments, in general, it was tolerable. I even got some cleaning done, which is a good thing because in a couple-three weeks, there won't be time to spit, much less clean up during business hours.

The desktop calls again.
