Bank error. Do not pass "GO"...

It's a long story, but a bank error in providing us with checks to tide us over while new ones arrived resulted in a pile of difficulty because the checks were not properly printed. As there is nothing I can do immediately to fix the problem, I shall try to put it out of my mind. However, there still remains the issue of making things right with the several entities who received those checks, but I'll put that off until tomorrow as well.
* * * I worked out for 15 minutes last night on our long-unused Nordic Trak, and again this morning for 16 minutes. 'tis a small accomplishment, I know, but mine own. I had the idea of doing another 15 minutes this evening, but that will happen only if I develop a galloping case of motivation.
Between everything else, I managed to lay 4700 words down on phosphor today, leaving just over 6000 words in the current document. The deadline for that work (Monday) is eminently do-able, although another collection of words arrived today for Tuesday. After having given it a once-over, I must conclude that it is simply too... busy... to be done within the time proffered, so I shall give my best shot tomorrow at extending the deadline by a day.
* * * Galina is intent on traveling to Houston once we close on the refinance, which ought to occur tomorrow or Friday. Myself, I am not so enthusiastic at this parting, but if we really put our collective shoulders to the wheel this year, the two of us will be the better for it. Frankly, I'm waiting for news regarding the commencement of an imminent launch campaign at Baikonur.
While waiting for the contents of the gray case to arrive, I transferred the zwiki directory from the Zaurus to the "secondary" Linux box in the office. Today, having charged up the Z's battery, I moved everything back, since it's a pain to not have the contents available while I'm out of the house. I'm not at all sure I hit all the "A" items on the to-do list today, but the day is not over yet. :^)
* * * Galina has been hitting eBay, looking for inventory for the store. We sniped a nice collection of greeting cards and got sniped in turn on an even larger inventory. Drew received a purchase he made a little while ago from Hong Kong, a DVD set of the HBO production of Band of Brothers, which makes me a little jealous. The same seller is offering 54 DVDs of The X Files for just about $2 a disk, as I write this post. I am tempted.
The big purchases on eBay are two banks of mail boxes (a total of 32 boxes), which we plan to add to those at the store. Each box generates about $120 of revenue annually (although not without some cost associated with sorting the mail). We're also going to have to figure out how to arrange all of this stuff, but that's a subject for another day.
Enough computer time. I need to move about a bit.
Cheers...
