A weekend ahead...
Feb. 27th, 2004 08:46 pmWe rented and watched Under the Tuscan Sun last night, and actually Galina and I watched the first part twice, since Natalie came home sort of in the middle of the story. I found the movie to be very pleasant, with very fetching landscapes, although it does not fit the traditional definition of romantic comedy. Despite the fact that people in general come off pretty poorly in the film, it's a positive film nonetheless, with emphasis on possibilities and second chances.
Work today was another day at the computer. I finished the document, but not to the extent where I feel comfortable handing it in. I also did some computer-based training on hazardous materials; the true/false quiz at the end was not particularly challenging,so I don't know how much safer I should feel, knowing what I know.
For the second day in a row, I stopped by the Barnes & Noble on the way home. I managed to walk around and browse on both days and actually walk out of the store without buying anything. Nothing really grabbed me, despite my having cast my eyes to all sides as I went through the store.
Talking of walking through stores, I also stopped by the CompUSA a couple of days ago, and found that I had absolutely no interest in any of the stuff that was on sale. It would appear that the mantle of "interesting geeky place to go" has been inherited by the Fry's at the north end of town, which is sufficiently far away.
I do have some work for the weekend, but I'm also planning to file some tax stuff and get some work done on the car.
It's looking like a good time to get some shuteye.
Cheers...
