Ooohhh, mornin'!
Apr. 8th, 2004 08:43 amAnd what do I see as I look out the window?

The camera was not able to catch the snow coming down at a fairly even clip, albeit not in copious quantities. I figure once the snow stops, the sun will likely melt it all in jig time. Of course, if it keeps snowing until tonight...
At any rate, the snow is good news. If it's snowing here, that means it's really snowing up on the Divide, and the more snow up there, the better. I hate it when the forest becomes tinder dry by the end of April, prompting all sorts of ukases from the Forest Service. Then again, I may not get to do a lot of wandering in the forest until late summer. My "dance card" for work is filling up fast.
* * * Last night was a less-than optimum night. Sleep came with effort sometime after midnight, and I was awakened at 3 am by someone splashing water in my face. This was not a good thing, since there is not supposed to be anyone else in the house, and so, steeling myself for something "completely different," I opened my eyes. Nothing and nobody. I looked around.
Baby, our cat, was on the night table, drinking my water, moving it from the bottom of the glass to her mouth with her paw. Somehow, the doors to the bedroom had shut, blocking her access to her water bowl. I got up, propped the door open and tried to go back to sleep.
Heck, I'm yawning already. (And just typing that was enough to elicit another yawn... oh, man...)
Time to snap out of it. Work awaits. Once it's finished, gone, and invoiced, I'll have nothing to do, translation-wise, until Monday.
Cheers...
