Up to my eyeballs in Soyuz docs...
Apr. 15th, 2004 07:15 pmToday was a fairly light day in the radiogram department, so I've been looking at various documents on the Soyuz that have been recommended for perusal by MCC translators.
So there's a little over an hour left in the shift, and I'm starting to think that this morning's "warmup" of two hours at the client's office working on non-NASA documents is not that great an idea. I'm going to try to cut down that time next week, especially since I need to get some stuff done that has nothing to do with day-to-day housekeeping or work. (Wow. What a concept!)
I spent my lunch time chasing a new PIN for my Wells Fargo debit card. The folks at the WF branch on Bay Area were very helpful, processing my card in jig time, but in order to test the card, I had to go through the drive-through ATM. The card didn't work, but getting back to the bank involved hanging a right, cutting across traffic, making a U-turn, coming back along Bay Area, and turning left back into the bank.
I gave up, preferring to get to work on time to going through the card reprogramming drill at the bank again.
Another minor to-do item is to get my table tennis paddle resurfaced, in preparation for the launch campaign in Kazakhstan, where after-hours table tennis was undertaken during last year's campaign with a zeal unseen by me since college days, and I have every reason to believe this is an ongoing kind of thing.
I'm sure, given enough time, I could populate a fairly lengthy to-do list of petty tasks. However, it's getting late and I need to make sure the recordkeeping is done for the day. Perhaps I'll post again later, after I get home, or maybe I'll simply hang out (or fill in the forms Galina wants filled in). Life is full of choices.
Cheers...
