Day, interrupted...
Jul. 12th, 2004 05:13 pmI got a call around 1 pm to go down to the local clinic and do some Russian-English interpretation for an emergency case, and ended up accompanying the patient to Durango in the ambulance. It was my second trip to Durango today, since Galina was fast asleep at 7 am, which is when one must depart Pagosa -- as I did -- if one is to be on time to meet the truck carrying our box order from Albuquerque.
There's not much I am free to say about the interpretation, except that the situation is very complicated once you get away from the medical realities. I found this out once I got home, when I found out that Galina had been involved, indirectly, in the aftermath of what had happened while I was on my way to and from "the big city."
Hopefully, everything will work out for the best.
Cheers...
