Adobe abomination...

So while it's waking up, my computer throws up a dialog box indicating that Adobe Flash Player needs updating. So I'm like, "Okay, whatever...," and I end up agreeing to download and run an executable file that updates Flash Player.
And I don't know whether this is some kind of comment about the quality of Flash Player, but the installation file also installs some security software from McAfee, without asking whether I want it (I don't), without determining whether I already have some other security software installed (I do), and with no opportunity to opt out of the process.
I would have given the exact name of the McAfee software, but my next step after clicking on the installation's "Finish" button was to call up my control panel and uninstall the McAffee program, so it's gone, leaving behind, in the bottom pane of the Control Panel, only the information that the product version was 3.0.285.6, and the file was 10.2 MB in size.
Fortunately for my blood pressure, the uninstall proceeded with no additional prompts or attempts to convince me to keep the application installed.
But it's still annoying.
