Two in a row...
Jun. 8th, 2005 09:48 pmI walked to the store again today and opened, and was relieved just in time to go home and take a shower before leaving for Durango.
The traffic deities smiled upon me and I actually arrived in Durango about 20 minutes early, which gave me an opportunity to stop at the natural foods store in town.
My weight, as recorded by the Official Scale at the doctor's office, was 14 pounds less than it was at the end of April. People say I look different and frankly, I feel different too.
The results of my tests indicate I'm in pretty good shape - perhaps the best shape I've been in since the episode of January 2003. This is encouraging.
Today is Galina's birthday, and I gave her flowers and a box of truffles (candy, not mushrooms), and we and the kids had dinner at our place. The propane tank turned out to be empty, so I ended up broiling the shashlyk in the oven, which frankly is a lot more convenient and quicker to do (which reminds me... I need to remove a few skewers that I left in the oven when serving dinner!).
Galina has come up with a pretty good plan with regard to the property she has her eye on. Details will be provided as they actually come to pass.
It's been a pretty active day. Hope yours has been as good.
Cheers...
