Inertia...
Jul. 4th, 2005 12:27 amI have packed my rucksack, as well as my duffel, leaving only some things to pack in the roll-on. So here I am, sitting like an idiot, typing an LJ entry while vague action items bubble up and down in the back of my mind like bones in a stew.
I am wondering: What smoldering issues am I leaving on my desk? I've tried to get the salient ones up on top of my in-basket. (There wasn't time to do a thorough GTD dump.)
I am wondering: What did I forget? More important: What will be the consequences? That travel checklist that I developed turned out to be a rough draft that I expanded upon while in Houston. Don't you know, I haven't been able to uncover that sucker anywhere? (I suspect it got in with a bunch of printouts that I disposed of shortly before concluding my work in Houston.)
I also skirt thoughts of a darker, worrisome nature, the result of watching too many news shows and imagining that the World Out There™ is a lot more dangerous than life along Highway 160 in Archuleta County, Colorado. I will do my level best not to dwell on such thoughts as I go to sleep shortly, as I must.
Cheers...
