Chasing the sun...
Sep. 14th, 2005 08:57 amWell, I am in Frankfurt, at my favorite T-Com terminal, with 4 hours to kill until my flight to Denver. I got a surprising amount of rest last night and was fresh as a daisy when the cab - a Mercedes - came to pick me up at 4:15 am.
The great thing about driving in Moscow at that time of the morning is the utter lack of traffic (comparatively speaking), though my driver did have to zig and zag a little through side streets, apparently to avoid middle-of-the-night road construction on the Leningrad highway.
There have been some changes at both Shremetevo and here in Frankfurt since my last visit. In Moscow, there are now refreshment machines in the departure area; here, they replaced a bunch of old, painful-looking furniture with recliner-type seating for the many who try to catch some z´s between flights.
My euro is about up (and this German keyboard keeps kicking my butt). My next rock will be from home, I hope.
Cheers...
