A close thing...
Apr. 9th, 2006 10:20 pmBetween my desktop BSODing me 3-4 times a day (today only once, thank goodness) and Word deciding to pull that cute little "irrevocably convert significant chunks of text to the other language" trick several times per session, I feel as if I've been walking on eggs all weekend.
Actually, there was a third factor: I didn't want to print out the two PDFs received Friday, as they'd be murder on the ink cartridges in my Epson. That meant probably twice the stress on my eyes and neck muscles as I peered from my main screen to my laptop's screen to compare what I was doing against the Russian original.
I suppose there was a fourth factor, as well, the correction of which involved the writing of a Word Macro From Hades™. The details of the problem and the macro are not really the stuff of public discussion, lest people get the wrong idea.
And yet, I managed, somehow, to finish the work and send it off.
I had so wanted to do more today, but it just didn't work out.
However, I am frankly looking forward to my trip to Durango tomorrow to go see the cardiologist, as I don't think I've been out of this burg for a while. (Of course, that will change next Sunday.)
Cheers...
