Wow factor...
May. 24th, 2006 10:48 amI just did the invoices for recent work, and when I take a look at what I did yesterday, my eyes sort of popped. The reward was not without its price, however, in terms of physical and nervous energy.
The dance card is filled for the day, though I haven't started in on the work. Moreover, the backlog just got bigger as a huge new French assignment and more of the workshop cycle of documents I'm working on made a huge squatting sound as they deposited themselves in my inbox.
Feht reports similar activity in his end of the world. He characterized it last night as some sort of frenzy, but like fishermen who find themselves in a kind of situation where the fish seem to be jumping into the boat, we'll take what we can.
A bit of good news: the client for whom I've been toiling like crazy the past few days is sending a check in advance of the usual term of 30 days, which - if it gets here in time - will be a welcome addition to our dwindling bank account resources.
I'm going to finish off a short edit and then get ready to go downtown.
Cheers...
