Catching up...
Sep. 11th, 2006 11:41 amFor the record, the price of gas at the Shell station near the house in Pagosa was $3.049 as we rolled by, on our way down to Texas. Most of our stops for gas were at places where the price was between $2.43 and $2.48. Somewhere north of and near Houston, Galina spied a sign that advertised gas at $2.28. It seems that, now that the "driving season" has simmered down, so have prices followed suit.
I got a rush translation a few minutes after setting up an appointment to get that farblegargling AIDS test. I called around this morning, and all the prices were significantly higher than the $90 I paid last year, and the test takes longer. In theory, I should get a fax/PDF/email/snail mail as to the result.
The place is slowly getting whipped into shape. The pile of junk that was on my desk after the initial unload of the car is down to the point where the tabletop is actually visible in many places. There's still many small things to get done, so I better go do 'em
Cheers...
