Short day...
May. 12th, 2007 11:29 pmGalina dropped me off at the JSC gate, as we have only one car and she doesn't have a badge, so I had to walk from the gate to Building 30. This normally wouldn't be much of a problem, except that the toe I jammed (sprained?) the other day makes walking in shoes a kind of exquisite torture. Despite the discomfort, I made it without incident.
It was a relatively light day, radiogram-wise, and I managed to finish two hours early, and was consequently released. The day had turned from pleasantly cool in the morning to pleasantly warm in the afternoon, and it seemed that my foot didn't hurt quite as much as I walked back to the gate to be picked up.
Once home, Galina and I ate a late lunch, and a little while later, Natalie came by and we all had another bite to eat after going to pick up some vittles at the Kroger market and a couple of DVDs. We watched Because I Said So, and thought it was pleasant enough and complicated enough to decorate the otherwise predictable turn of events. Don't get me wrong: I liked the film, but there just seemed to be too much angst, overplayed at times.
I am trying to offload my Acomdata external drive, at least to the point where it might make sense to take it with me when I go on my trip this coming week, or to use it at all. (Currently, all but 3 GB of the 55 GB are filled with "stuff.")
I woke last night shortly after midnight, and didn't get back to sleep until after 3 am. Getting up at 8 am was a chore, but a necessary one. I should probably forego watching Pride and Prejudice, the British-accented dialog of which I can hear from down the hall. OTOH, maybe I'll sit down for a while to see what it's all about while my Acomdata drive gets copied.
Cheers...
