At a keyboard in South Terminal...
May. 18th, 2007 05:04 amAfter a couple of days playing with these internet stations, it occurs to me that their response is a little on the slow side, so that I'm down to 8 minutes by the time the update screen shows up.
No matter, at least I'm at a real keyboard, at a station on the upper level, instead of at the finger-punishing metal keyboard I've been using the past couple of days.
The meeting ended well, and I even got a meal at an Indian restaurant out of it. I was pleased to see a menu with dinner entrees priced in the single digits (e.g., £8.99). I was in the company of the presenters and the end client, and a fine time was had by all. We even managed to return to the Renaissance Hotel in time for me to board the bus back to the Hilton just as the bus was pulling into the drive.
It's wheels-up in 3-1/2 hours, and I've got to get back to the room and pack. Hopefully, I'll have the time to make a more extensive post or two about this trip over the weekend.
Cheers...
