Muddling through...
Jun. 13th, 2007 07:04 pmI am taking it particularly easy for a few days, as I think I overexerted myself this past weekend. Between the heat at the flea market, working nights (and trying to sleep during the day), and dragging a couple of van's worth of stuff down from a second-floor apartment, I think I may have overdone the physical exercise bit. I'll have to schedule a visit to the doctor soon to get a better idea of where I am, condition-wise.
In the meantime, I am finding myself losing track of all the work I'm declining, while still maintaining a pretty good volume (all things considered). Earlier in the week, I declined a job in which the source document had been created in Microsoft Publisher, which would have effectively required me to both translate and fiddle with desktop publishing settings (while only getting paid for the former). An hour or so ago, I said no to another weekend of night shifts. Not this week.
I'm pretty much on track with both assignments due tomorrow (one is finished and "setting," and I've got about 800 words left in the other job, which I plan to finish tonight or tomorrow morning). Another assignment has come in the door, requiring about 3,000 source words to be translated by Friday morning and another 3,000 or so by first thing Monday.
Time to go take another little nap. I need my beauty rest.
Cheers...
