Monday redux...
Jul. 2nd, 2007 08:38 pmIt's funny how the lack of a pen can weigh on one's mind. During today's sim, one party tried to communicate a long number to the other, and - without a pen - I muffed both attempts. I probably shouldn't feel so bad about it, but I do.
The sim went overtime by 30 minutes, which is no cause for complaint. In the meantime, I've acquired two translation jobs and some additional interpretation work tomorrow and Friday. Because tomorrow's schedule has filled up, I took the opportunity of returning my Rent-A-Wreck today, and can count myself a satisfied customer.
Natalie says she observes progress with Shiloh. I concur, though that's far from saying she is an obedient mutt. Right now, the dog is vigorously exercising her jaws (and developing teeth) on a leather bone, about a yard from my chair in my office.
Dinner was a third of a pound of Atlantic salmon fried with some olive oil and garlic salt with steamed broccoli and carrots. I am happy to (tentatively) say that I haven't had any twinges of abdominal pain today. Of such small steps is progress wrought.
Cheers...
