And not just productive.

Shiloh was a darling today. She held her nipping and jumping to a minimum and basically followed me around the house all day, resting quietly as I worked on my translations. We went for a short walk during the morning, but probably too short. Last night, the dog spent the night on the floor, mostly in the bathroom (I guess she likes the tile floor). Most important, there was none of the frantic wailing that has marked the past couple of weeks.

Besides getting a significant portion of overdue domestic chores out of the way, I finished a short editing job for a new client this morning and got it sent off in time, and also managed to get the lion's share of a job due Friday morning out the door. I have one more file to process for that job, and will do that tonight.

Based on my, um, "sources" (having attended the planning meeting), tomorrow's 12-hour sim will place a great deal of stress on space-to-ground interpreter, but in a manner different from that which occurred during Monday's EVA sim. Further deponent saieth not, but I'm going to have to make an effort to get a solid chunk of rest tonight.

I started reading The 4-Hour Work Week last night (having bought it during my trip to the UK), and I've got to admit, 60-some-odd pages into the book, the author has my complete and undivided attention, as many of the shortcomings the author points out that are associated with our normal "productive" lives have been confronting me in a highly personal, in-your-face manner with ever greater intensity. Something has got to give, before it's me.

Time to wind down.

Cheers...
