WIth the bibliography tacked onto the end, the final word count was about 12,500 words. Now I've got to turn to and address some other issues, such as invoicing (last week's work remains uninvoiced) and stuff having to do with the house and the estate.

If the weather continues in this manner, I shall have to wear cleats outside. This morning, I very nearly slipped on snow that had turned to ice-that-looks-like-snow. Shiloh, too, seems a bit put out by this surface that offers her no purchase.

Cheers...

I barely got out of the house this morning when I started getting calls to do work. I can't complain, since December is often a "dry" month and I've already declined more work in the past four weeks than I have, I think, in the preceding part of the year. Two fast-turnaround jobs came in today, and then my best West Coast client called to say there was some French work coming down the turnpike.

At least the language will represent a change of pace. Something on the order of 3,000 source words by the end of tomorrow. The state of (the rest of) the plate amounts to two other jobs, due... later.

Otherwise, I've not done much else today. I finished my run to the grocery store this morning, and had a nice enough dinner. I may not be losing weight, but the scales tell me I'm not gaining any, either.

Galina may depart tomorrow for New York. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Cheers...
