The contemporary idea of "feedback" in response to one's work is, theoretically, for it to be of a constructive nature. In the wordsmithing racket, however, every once in a while you run into a critic who creates a lot of heat with his or her constructive nitpicking comments, but no light.

Fortunately, today's feedback was not of this kind. In fact, I'm feeling pretty chipper about the following:
This was a wonderful translation of a very complex article. The English text was absolutely impeccable in grammar, word order and everything else.
I think I'll I take a short break and privately indulge in a two-minute smug glow of self-congratulation.

Remind me to never leave my phone in the room when I go to work (but if I do, to call Galina and Natalie, to let them know not to worry). When I got back to the room a short time ago, there were 17 missed calls and a bunch of voice mails to deal with.

The time sheet will reflect a 16-hour workday. Hopefully, tomorrow will be shorter.

In any event, I need to catch some sleep, but I need to glance at email before hitting the rack.
