I rose to find two urgent jobs in my inbox, and even though I had decided to not do any work after clearing my plate yesterday, the jobs were short and from a good client, so I said yes. Some days, I have no will power.

Galina suggested we go over to Durango and maybe do some clothes shopping after I got a haircut, so I did the shorter of the translations and sent it off, then we left. We didn't find anything I liked (except for a coat that was on sale), but I did visit a tonsorial establishment for a trim and we stopped by a Home Depot to pick up some doors that were on sale when Galina was there yesterday.

Since coming home, I've finished the second translation. Tomorrow's local weather forecast (snow, turning to rain) is throwing a lot of uncertainty into tomorrow's departure time, especially considering we want to arrive early enough in Albuquerque to do some shopping before retiring for the night.

I'll have to make a point of getting up early tomorrow morning to despeckle the translation and then make sure all that data I'll need for Moscow is on my travel laptop. It's going to be a pretty busy day.

Cheers...

My largest USB "thumb drive" is an 8 GB model, which is big enough for most tasks.

Over the years, though, I've bought several larger drives, ranging in size from 80 GB and up, and the one thing they all share is an insatiable thirst for power. Specifically, they either require carrying around a separate power supply or a USB cable setup that sucks juice from two laptop ports.

With my 5G iPod, all I need is the cable provided by Apple, and I'm good to go. All 60 GB. One USB port.

What more could one ask for?

Cheers...
