It took a while...
Feb. 20th, 2009 10:36 pmI didn't get much translation work done yesterday, so I'll be paying the price over the next couple of days.
For a while, today, it looked as if it was going to be a pretty unproductive day, as I had set a goal of 4400 source words and still had 2900 words left to translate at 5 pm. Somehow, I managed to stumble through them all and eat dinner, completing my self-assigned quota a few minutes ago.
An unintended consequence of all the work going on in the kitchen is the disappearance of all the light fixtures (um, both of them). Hopefully, the new ones will arrive quickly and be installed without much fuss.
* * * For this week's LJ Idol essay, the 23 remaining contestants were asked to write either about "getting involved," or "flying." As it turns out, two people in the group that wrote about getting involved and two others in the group that wrote about flying - and I am in this latter group - will be "going home."
Unlike previous weeks, the polls close this week on Sunday, at 6 pm. I encourage you to check out the overall list of all entries, because there's some really good stuff there. (For the impatient, here's a shortcut to the poll for the group I'm in.)
Thanks in advance for your support.
Cheers...
