Over the hump...
May. 28th, 2009 07:35 pmWhatever has had me in its grip the past few days appears to be loosening its hold.
I actually got some sound sleep under my belt this morning (after someone called us from somewhere within the 970 area code at 2:11 am), and I'm feeling much better.
My mind's attempt to set up a "twisty little passages" nightmare for me fell flat after the middle-of-the-night call, because instead of trying to tackle the impossible assignment I was faced with (inspired by seeing an NCIS rerun earlier in the day), I remember consciously deciding that I wasn't going to worry about the worst possible outcome, and so fell asleep for a couple of hours.
I've put in a lot of rack time today, which is a departure from the past couple of days, where I was too frisky to stay in bed, but not tired enough to stay there for more than a few minutes.
I didn't know that Galina had rescheduled the countertop installation for tomorrow, which will place us under some pressure to get out of the house at a reasonable hour for the 5-hour drive to Albuquerque, but I'm not going to worry about that, either.
Look at me, I'm just a regular worry-free wart!
Cheers...
