Tucumcari last night! (Seabrook tonight!)
Sep. 19th, 2009 11:46 pmThe printed receipt from the gas station in Pagosa is time-stamped 4:20 pm on Friday afternoon, which is the latest we've ever gotten on the road for Texas. We got as far as Tucumcari, New Mexico, before calling it a night.
It was quite a drive, let me tell you. Neither Galina nor I had considered that it would be the first time that both Shiloh and Hana would be sharing tight quarters in a moving vehicle. Shiloh elected to stay as far away from Hana as possible, especially as the air was rent with cries that were doubtless the feline equivalent of "Just where the heck do you think you are you taking me?"

We got up (Shiloh-aided) at 6:15 am Mountain Time, and made it to Houston by 8:30 pm. Natalie met us, quite literally, on the road to Seabrook (meaning that I looked over at the car next to us as we drove south on I-45 and there she was!).
More tomorrow.
Cheers...
