An okay day...
Mar. 21st, 2010 11:58 pmI finished the cleanup I started yesterday, so the place looked right when the kids came over for dinner. The grandkids came too, and my concern about whether they would eat my version of Natalie's "4-bean chili" was addressed by the two packages of macaroni and cheese that came along with them for the ride in the car.
The short item for my Russian client went swimmingly well, and has been sent.
In other news, in my TV-less state, I am grateful I will not have to be exposed to the saccharine cacophany of self-congratulation that is sure to clog the digital airwaves in the aftermath of this evening's "historic" vote in Congress. Listening to such drivel for any length of time might well lead to some kind of chronic illness, which would be a particularly ironic (and unfortunate) outcome, given the circumstances.
Cheers...
