Then again, I actually managed to cross off more of my todos and reminders today than I usually get to do.
Go figure.
A look at my LJ a few minutes ago has me puzzled, because instead of using the entire width of the tan field used for the post (so that the text wraps around the userpic), it would appear someone somewhere tweaked the code so that text width remains constant (and the area below the userpic remains empty). An interesting side-effect of the change (assuming this isn't just some kind of temporary glitch associated with LJ or Chrome) is that all graphics are constrained to that text width (which means that photos in my friends page no longer meander all over the place).
In other news, I found what appears to be a blewit in the lawn, and when I kneeled to take a picture of the mushroom, Shiloh mistook my action as an invitation to play, whereupon she came tearing in from Cthulhu-knows-where with legs flying everywhere—just to "buzz" me, dontchaknow—but also tearing the little fellow clean out of the ground with one of her paws.
A few minutes later, I noticed some other mushrooms growing in the lawn behind the living room window; I am confident these are specimens of Parasola mushrooms:
A little while later, I asked Shiloh to sit and stay immobile while I deposited a solitary almond on her head, almost smack dab between her eyes. Shiloh, by the way, loves almonds.
She held the position until (a) I snapped the picture, and (b) told her to enjoy her reward. There are dogs out there that have mastered the art of flipping a reward so placed up into the air, allowing them to snap their jaws around said reward as it falls, but Shiloh isn't one of them. (At least not yet.) It was hard enough to get her to sit still for the almond. <grin>
