One of the big pluses of working with a TM product like Wordfast is that if MS Word decides to inexplicably crash and is unable to recover the work file, one can load the most recently saved version of the file and then speed through having Wordfast "reuse" your translations on what appears to be identical text (and which is, in fact, the same text).

And so, when one finds oneself working outside the protective cover of a product like Wordfast, having Word throw one of its "Microsoft Word has stopped working" fits involves a certain pucker factor as one waits to see if the current file can be recovered.

I've just finished the first of two such files, however, and now, it's on to the next (although in breaking with tradition, Galina and I will be doing our turkey today, which will entail some time spent away from the computer).
