There turned out to be more to do around here than we figured, and thus, our departure was delayed.

Galina was nervous about moving the dining room set (old-fashioned china cabinet, dining table, chairs), so she engaged a second set of arms and legs to come help the two guys we hired to move the "small stuff" (sofas, mattresses, headboards, night tables, etc.). Unfortunately, the second set of arms and legs experienced car trouble, and while that problem was being addressed, the new tenant stopped by and said he wouldn't mind at all if the set was left upstairs, which in turn made the second set of arms and legs happy, leaving him free to address his car trouble.

I only managed to remember that my fitbit was charging about halfway through the day (at around 2 pm). Nevertheless, between when I did manage to strap on the device and when I fell asleep, I managed to climb 23 stories and march almost 16,000 steps. (No doubt, I would have set some records had I been wired throughout the day.)

The hard part of the day came at the end, when the time came to figure out what to sleep on (other than the hardwood floor), but we managed. I slept pretty well, all things considered.

What's left? We need to finish tidying up the basement. We need to pack the Ford. We need to tidy up the garage.

No "work" work yet.

Cheers...
