Putting it all together...

A moment's inattention this morning had me grab a pot handle that was cooking-temperature hot, which resulted in a wold-class yelp and a dash to the sink. Fortunately for me, the water coming out of the cold water tap is really cold here in Colorado (as opposed to, say, Houston, where it comes out lukewarm), so I didn't have to go raid the freezer for ice we never have. The damage apparently was minimized.

The episode ruined the day for me, all the more so because Galina is getting ready to leave for Houston to take care of some real estate business. Besides doing some translations, I spent computer time today cleaning up webster, so that Galina has something a little more substantial than her little Acer to work on. The cleanup also included installing a bunch of software that'll make the job of providing tech support a little easier, should it become necessary.
