End of an era...
Jul. 13th, 2012 12:55 pmI've had a "permanent" NASA badge ever since... 1996, if memory serves. Today I was informed that—according to rules I won't pretend to understand, but probably having to do with how long it's been since I've used the thing—I've got to turn mine back in.
In other news, the FCC exam for General Class that was to have been held next Saturday in Farmington instead took place last Saturday. I don't feel so bad, especially since there was no way—prepared or not—that I could've spared the time last weekend to travel 4 hours (there and back), take the exam, and still have made my work commitments.
Given my schedule lately, I'm inclined to minimize work activity today to invoicing (done!) and maybe later checking out what's actually on my plate, i.e., getting past a "general feel" to brass tacks.
In other news, it's starting to become annoying as all get-out to have Chrome and Explorer and Firefox choke (ranging from very slow to no response at all) whenever I try to access a Gawker site or, increasingly, Amazon.
Cheers...
