Nobody wants glass...
Jan. 10th, 2013 11:02 pmAfter two days of wet, today actually was pretty nice... nice enough for me to grouse (gently) about having to work.
Stopped by the library, but felt rushed and was not able to find anything of interest that would absorb me. While browsing, I noticed they have two copies of Writer's Market 2013 on the shelf and wonder just how many people really, actually have benefited from owning a copy (as opposed to how many people felt good about buying a copy and then leaving it unread on their shelf, which I must admit I was guilty of, back before I learned how to crack the freelance market, after which I never felt the need to buy another copy).
Elementary has definitely become a show I try not to miss, both because the stories have been reasonably entertaining and because I find I have developed an interest in seeing how things might turn out between Holmes and Watson. The chemistry between the two characters is about the subtlest I've seen in this kind of show (I'd suggest that only the chemistry between Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon—in The Mentalist—is subtler, but I'm coming to think that while there is a working relationship between the two, there is no real chemistry, but I digress...).
Time to hit the rack. Tomorrow's Friday, if memory serves. :^)
