Who would have thought...?

Today started out snappily enough, with 7 jobs of The Routine Stuff™ hitting the inbox by 9:30 am. Fortunately, it's not as if I'm expected to get it all done chopchopimmediatelyrightnow, but I did manage to get a goodly chunk of it done, if only to help clear the decks to allow me to devote some time to another long-deadline job that's on the plate.

Then, about 5:30 pm, I get a local call with an "emergency" rush job, due literally by midnight tonight.

Let me just say that despite not wanting to cancel my attendance at this evening's t'ai chi session, it was probably a good thing I did so, because the job just went out the wire a few minutes ago.

I am thinking I will sleep pretty soundly tonight, and with any luck, tomorrow will not be as full of pressure. And having missed a class will give me motivation to figure out a way to make up the time, even (and particularly) outside the context of the school.
