Decisions, decisions...
Aug. 26th, 2013 09:36 amAttempting to print a document found our creaky old Brother laser printer pleading for more toner. A trip to local stores that might carry the needed material determined that, overall, Brother has lost quite a bit of shelf space to companies like <spit> HP, and that what shelf space was devoted to Brother "refills" concentrated on the company's more recent offerings.
Naturally, at times like this, the idea of finally getting hold of a laser printer capable of printing in color surfaced and wriggled about like an ice worm through the crust of the Yukon snow. And there was a very reasonably priced offering from Samsung right there on the shelf in front of me...
Still, I managed to keep my composure and returned home to order a replacement toner cartridge from Amazon. I've been pretty good in my effort to maximize my paper-free work ethic, resorting to the printer only when (as is the case with a couple of current documents) the text is simply too hard to read on the screen, for whatever reason.
I shall, therefore, stay monochrome and carry on.
