Tablet questions...
Aug. 28th, 2013 11:48 amSo on the more-or-less eve of the introduction of iOS 7, it turns out my trusty first-generation iPad will never see an official OS upgrade past its current level (somewhere in version 5). A few apps upgrades have gone belly-up as they require iOS 6.
I've read quite a lot of nice things about the iPad mini. I've also seen a Samsung Note 8 in action belonging to one of the Pinkertons over in Kazakhstan, and it's pretty impressive.
After a bit of thought, I've concluded that, aside from the apps, I really don't have a whole lot of cash invested in Apple media files. So I've got to ask myself if there is any overriding consideration that would impel me to give my business to one side or the other.
Is there something I'm overlooking?
