A slacking feeling...
Jan. 7th, 2014 11:27 pmWork is going reasonably well for the beginning of January. More work went out, more work came in. It was not at the breakneck rate of this past weekend, but I'm not complaining.
Galina and I got a call at around 10 pm from out tenant who lives on the other side of I-45. When we got there, it was apparent that the tool for turning off water at the "demark" (at the curb) was no longer at the house. On the other hand, tramping through a saturated lawn, I eventually came upon a leaking device of some kind that had shutoff valves mounted on the inlet and outlet. Turning the valves stopped the leak, and since I was not able to get a good angle on the supply valve to the property (as it was under about eight inches of really cold water, I'm going to hope that shutting off that valve did the trick. Tomorrow morning will tell.
There are things that I need to get in the habit of doing that I am not doing. I need to start paying attention to that, and more... I need to get a fire lit and move off of bottom dead center.
Cheers...
