A harbinger of things to come?

A store called "The Fresh Market" has made its debut near the Baybrook Mall. Upon entering, I got this kind of "Whole Foods" vibe from the way the products were presented and the energy of the staff.

Alas, with the exception of entirely premium prices, I found the fare on sale to be pretty ho-hum. Overall, I found the store to be a disappointment, as it appears to be targeting folks with a lot more money than sense.

Still, I hope the store does well, because if it does, other retailers may pay attention and follow suit, thereby increasing the diversity of shopping choices around these parts.

And that would be a good thing.
