Long-time readers will be familiar with my use of the non-verb "to despeckle," from the acronym DSPCKL, which stands for my translation quality review steps: Disambiguate, Spellcheck, Pronounce, Cleanup, Key, and Layout (for more details, see this post).

I'm going to have to include Print as a step, because I managed to somehow overwrite a bookmark, which caused a bunch of fields in the document to display an error, but only upon trying to print the blessed thing.

For the sake of maintaining the integrity of the acronym, Print will replace Pronounce, as I have for some time, frankly, not really had the time to read my stuff out loud, or at least not all of it. (Of course, having just typed "the integrity of the acronym" I feel like a complete idiot, but—that said—I feel like humoring myselfon this, so it stays.)

* * *
I have been having trouble falling asleep the past several nights, and falling into a routine of getting up at my usual 6-7 am, feeding the dogs, eating breakfast, and then going back upstairs, where I fall asleep with no problem at all, followed some time later by a nap. Yesterday, I finally hied myself out of bed at 11 am, and then had a two-hour nap in the late afternoon, so it was no surprise to me that I could not fall asleep again until after midnight this morning.

So today, twice, I decided that my response to feeling a bit tuckered out would be to go downstairs, get dressed, and go for a walk around the neighborhood. The additional exercise is supposed to do me good, especially since I don't appear to be losing any more weight.

The walks kept me awake, so on the one hand, hooray for me, I guess. On the other, right now I feel as if I am more than ready to hit the rack (and it's not even 9 pm).

Cheers...
