Galina went off this afternnon to tour a bunch of homes that were made available to the public for viewing under the auspices of the Houston Symphony. I stayed home and translated. Said translation is done and sent.

A prospective translation request came in yesterday at a little before 3 pm local time, while Galina and I were getting briefed about our role as judges in an upcoming "spoken Russian" competition, but by the time I responded, apparently, the job had gone somewhere else.

That will teach me not to check my email every 5 minutes while out and about on a Saturday. (Not!)

This morning's "agony feed" from proz.com (my name for the site's emails providing notification of jobs) contained a particulaly egregious exemplar of poor document management. Someone, somewhere wanted 8,000 words (about 32 pages) of technical stuff to be translated by tomorrow noon, Greenwich time. I'd be curious to see the resulting translation, but no so curious as to agree to edit it.

Reading about the blockchain. Going to go to sleep.

The two are not necessarily related.
