Pagosa country!
Jul. 19th, 2015 09:36 pmOvernighting in Utah was actually pretty restful after three nights on various kinds of couches. Some residual kinks that had caused various sharp pains, which I attribute to the flight last Wednesday, finally got smoothed out, and after a surprisingly reasonable hotel breakfast, Lee and I set off southward on I-15, Pagosa bound.
As advertised, it was an easier day behind the wheel, even if we did spend most of the time on rural two-lanes (as opposed to yesterday's steady diet of four-lane Interstates). We even made the time to stop for about 40 minutes in Durango before embarking on the final 60-mile push to Pagosa Springs.
It's really great to see Drew and his family again. I have been in observer mode most of the evening, saturating myself in family life.
It's a good feeling.
Cheers...
