My "vetting" of my work setup on the new machine was insufficient. Notes have been made. Among the problems encountered today was extreme slowness of BitTorrent Sync (which works, by the way), and the awkward positioning of the USB port and power connection (only one can be used at a time, which—if you're using an external keyboard via a USB dongle—offers the obvious problem of not allowing one to use said keyboard when power goes critically low.
The unit' keyboard has been unusable for the past few days, but suddenly has come back to life, but I have no idea what may have caused this serendipitous turn of events.
Work exploded out of the starting gate this morning. A good thing, except for the aforementioned computer problems, which played merry havoc with things.
In other news, our storage unit has been found and opened, and a preliminary assessment says we ought to be able to get rid of enough stuff to be able to drag the remainder behind us in a U-Haul 5x8 trailer (which is amazingly inexpensive as compared to a motor vehicle). We also have an appointment to speak with our tenants tomorrow afternoon.
The evening was spent at Drew's, where I filled Mat's head with tales of math and science. I hope to do more of the same the rest of this week.
Time slots are beginnning to fill up, but tomorrow will be a better day than today...
