An active weekend...
Aug. 2nd, 2015 10:46 pmThis past weekend has been one heck of a whirlwind, although not in the "getting exercise" sense.
We did quite a bit of eating out, starting yesterday with lunch at the Mediterranean Market & Café over by the health food store. Then yesterday evening, Alla took us all out to Pier 8 over in Kemah. This morning, Natalie took us to brunch at a new restaurant for me and Galina, called Cullen's, which served marvelous food (and excellent mimosas).
I managed to finish about 5,000 words of translation today, and have about 8,000 words left of the giant pile that I started the weekend with.
Natalie and I spent the evening going over chess positions in which the "discovered attack" played a decisive role, and I recounted some of my early experiences with the game.
Time to hit the rack. Big day tomorrow.
Cheers...
