August kickoff...
Aug. 3rd, 2015 09:40 pmThe day started with a blood draw whose purpose is to determine how my cholesterol is doing, among other things. As is usually the case with such annoyances, they come packaged with a need to not pour coffee down one's throat upon rising, so I didn't.
Apparently, the Fairy Godmother Department was working some overtime, because my wait to get stuck at the lab was less than a minute, and I was out of there most expeditiously.
The med refill I had been waiting to have authorized finally came through today, which is pretty good because I had literally taken the last of the medication this morning, and an incomplete dose at that. I felt crummy all day, and even attempts to nap it away didn't do the trick.
It turns out that one of our end client's employees we had worked with over the past couple of years had failed to process a bunch of paperwork over the past couple of months. To say the least, people are not happy, and said employee is now an ex-employee.
This situation might explain why the influx of documents has—with the exception of The Behemoth™ (which is down to about 7,300 source words to go)—appears to have dried up in recent weeks.
Natalie's visit is about coming to a close. I've enjoyed it tremendously. I hope to see her (and Drew, and his family) again soon.
For now, despite the seeminly early hour, I feel pretty tired, and will be going to sleep shortly. Big day tomorrow, and I've got to be at the top of my game.
Cheers...
