Steadfastly not moping...
Aug. 4th, 2015 10:29 pmGot a stern lecture from Natalie, who departed for home today. It was in the form, apparently, of some wisdom gleaned from anime, to the effect that time spent moping is time spent not being grateful to be alive.
I thought about that a lot after she left for the airport, because I really had a class-A pity-party lined up for myself. (A short one, but still...)
Ten files delivered, two to go. One of the two is a shortie. The other is the long pole in the tent, of which about 4500 words are left. The key question is: can I get it done by Thursday night? A good follow-up is: Does this need to be done by Thursday night?
I ask because I received a meeting agenda this morning and... let me choose my words here... it suggested that Stuff Left Undone By Others™ was more extensive than I had been led to believe. That said, the scope of Stuff Left Undone By Others™ becomes an increasingly useful tool for explaining recent billings. Further deponent saith not.
